Countryside Focus at Ffos Las

Countryside Focus at Ffos Las

Ffos Las’ Countryside Raceday, in association with the Countryside Alliance, will showcase a range of countryside activities on Sunday 8 November.

A favourite on the Ffos Las calendar the Countryside Raceday hosts six jump races and features

fly tying, birds of prey, a Food and Drink Fayre, stick making demonstrations, a Hound Parade and ferrets!

This fixture also sees a number of amateur riders compete in the sponsored Countryside Alliance’s Race for Repeal which is on before the main race programme. The riders have been training hard for their first ever race on the track – details of who’s who can be found on the Countryside Alliance website.

“We are thrilled to have the support of the Countryside Alliance for the fifth year running.  This fixture is a great opportunity for families to see first hand some of the countryside skills and experiences right on our doorstep,” said Dave Clayton, Commercial Director.

Rachel Evans, Countryside Alliance’s Director for Wales, said, “We are very pleased indeed to be staging a countryside day with Ffos Las race course once again. This has become a firm fixture in every countryside lovers calendar. I am very grateful to everyone who has once again contributed to this event, particularly to the jockeys who are riding in the Countryside Alliance flat race – they have made a tremendous effort and have trained very hard.”
